Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Critical Thinking?

It is the process of reaching a reasonable conclusion by evaluating information for meaning and significance.

What is a logical fallacy?

It is an error in logic that misleads an argument by faulty reasoning, which in turn misconceives participants.  Logical fallacies can be accidents but are often used to mislead people like in propaganda.  A logical fallacy weakens claims, and often renders them completely meaningless.  For example, "Grandfather says the world will end, so it must be true" is fallacious logic, because the conclusion hinges on the assumption that grandfather can predict the future, and he can't.
